C:\MOVE C:\users D:\users
migrate the user folders
complicated, but worth it to keep your
OS/app drive thin & fast. don't ever log
into a profile without your D:\ drive
though as it will render that profile
temporary permenantly. a nice cheat was
to copy everything to the non-os/app
drive before any registry changes. this
way temp files won't be a bother.
other notes:
WD1200JB & syba SD-SATA-IDE converter
don't work so well = bios cannot boot.
windows can boot WD if SATA cable is
inserted only during the F8 page, not
at powerup. ST340016 on the syba also
gets dectected progressively slower
each start. will keep experimenting.
its either the old drives or the syba.
difficult to verify which yet.
